Send us your digital scans

ProEsthetics Dental Lab accepts files from all major scanning systems, including 3M™ True Definition, 3Shape TRIOS®, Carestream, Cerec®, iTero® and Planmeca PlanScan® (E4D), making the transition to digital dentistry easy for your practice. Doctors with a 3M™ True Definition scanner can send digital impressions directly to ProEsthetics Dental Lab through 3M Connection Center. We are a preferred margin marking lab.

To send a file:
1) Log in to your 3M Connection Center Account that was created when your scanner was installed. If assistance is needed, contact 3M Digital Impression Customer Service at 877.722.6528.
2) Verify that ProEsthetics Dental Lab, is available under the Scanner Laboratory menu.
- If not, contact 3M Digital Impression Customer Service (877.722.6528) and request adding ProEsthetics Dental Lab to the scanner menu.
3) Select the ProEsthetics Dental Lab profile from the drop down menu.
4) Complete the intraoral scan and select the ProEsthetics Dental Lab profile.
5) Complete the True Definition online Rx.
6) Upload the scan data to the 3M Communication Center.

Doctors with a TRIOS® scanner can send digital impressions directly to Pro Esthetics Dental Lab through 3Shape Communicate.

To send a file:
Dentists should be registered with a 3Shape Communicate account when the scanner is installed. If ProEsthetics Dental Lab is not already pre-installed on the list of available labs, send a Connection Request from the Communicate account to jprocopio@proesthetics.com.

Note: Dentists can register themselves at http://portal.3ShapeCommunicate.com. ProEsthetics Dental Lab will respond that the lab is TRIOS ready to receive your scans.

1) After selecting the patient name, press New Session.
2) The lab list will appear, select Pro Esthetics Dental Lab.
3) Complete the order form information. In the Comments, specify specific materials.
4) Complete the scanning process and press the Send Order envelope icon.
5) On the Send Order screen, verify the case information and scans, and then press Send Order.

Doctors with a Carestream CS Scanner can send digital impressions directly to ProEsthetics Dental Lab through CS Connect or Direct Email.

To send a file:
1) Complete the intraoral scan and open the patient’s case in the DIS software. This software can operate in standalone mode or through Practiceworks.
2) Through the file button, in the upper right corner of the patient history window, select history open by clicking the book icon.
3) After highlighting the 3DIO folder, click the Send to button located toward the lower right corner of the window. The STL files will now be saved to the desktop.
To submit to Pro Esthetics using CSCONNECT:
a. After highlighting the appropriate 3DIO File from step 3, click the CS connect button. The web portal will open to login screen.
b. Log into CS Connect.
c. From the drop down menu, select Pro Esthetics Dental Lab.
Note: If this is the first case being sent to Pro Esthetics Dental Lab enter scans@proesthetics.com in the email field. ProEsthetics will appear in the drop-down menu moving forward.
d. Attach files by clicking Browse and selecting the .dcm file from the patient’s folder; then click Open.
e. Add any pertinent information regarding the case to the comment box.
f. Accept the terms and conditions by checking the box and click Submit.

Doctors using Cerec® intraoral scanning systems can send digital impressions directly to ProEsthetics Dental Lab through Cerec Connect.

To send a file:
1) Create an account on www.sirona-connect.com and follow the prompts for activating the account (if you already have an account, proceed to step 3).
2) After account activation, log into your account and add Pro-Eesthetics Dental Lab to the list of Favorite Laboratories.
3) Log into your Cerec software and complete the digital scan.
4) After completing scan acquisition and marking the margin, proceed to the Connect step and enter Login info.
5) Review your order and restoration information then click Enter Order Data.
6) Once the upload is complete, select Pro-Esthetics Dental Lab and desired return date.
7) Click Add Additional Information and enter gender, age, comments, and upload any additional files for the case. If model-less, please specify.
8) Review information and click Submit Cart.
9) Enter your user name and password once again and the case submission is complete.

Doctors with an iTero® scanner can send digital impressions directly to ProEsthetics Dental Lab through iTero online.

To send a file:
iTero® Element™
1) Add ProEsthetics Dental Lab by calling iTero Support 800-577-8767.
2) Start a new Rx, and after entering patient name and case type, select Pro-Esthetics from the Ship To menu.
3) After scanning, press the Envelope icon, add signature, and press Confirm & Send.

iTero® HD2.9 and Previous Models
1) Add ProEsthetics Dental Lab by calling iTero Support at 800-577-8767 or from within your iTero online account.
2) Start a new Rx, enter required information and select ProEsthetics Dental Lab from the Ship To menu.
3) After completing the scan process, press the Send button.
